BigXthaPlug - Pray Hard (feat. Luke Combs)

Maybe I’m not as up to date on the rap scene as I should be, but I was definitely blindsided by this country/rap album from BigXthaPlug. He went all in, collaborating with the blue bloods of the genre like Jelly Roll, Thomas Rhett, and Luke Combs, just to name a few. The best part about this album is how effortless it sounds. Country vocals don’t always mesh with rap vocals, but each song in this collection does it seamlessly. There’s also enough variety where you can listen to the whole thing on repeat and not get sick of it. “Pray Hard” was one of my favorite tracks. The production is amazing. Huge bursts of guitar, loud drums, and an intense chorus by Luke Combs gives way to a vibrant piano melody and a soulful sound that BigX raps over. All in all, this is of my favorite albums to come out in awhile.
