Metro Boomin’s new album rolls out across two discs and leans into nostalgic early‑2000s Atlanta trap while feeling fresh and alive. Tracks range from woozy syrupy grooves to high-energy bangers, tied together by booming 808s, sharp hats, chopped vocal samples, and melodic stabs reminiscent of that classic Atlanta swagger.
What really makes this mixtape shine is its lineup — a mix of veteran nods and rising voices. Disc 1 leans into Atlanta legends like Young Dro, Waka Flocka Flame, Gucci Mane, Roscoe Dash, and Travis Porter. Disc 2 shifts gears with heavyweight features from Young Thug, Quavo, 2 Chainz, T.I., Lil Baby, Future, Skooly, J Money, and even 21 Savage. It’s a curated celebration of hometown pride — old‑school legends and next‑gen stars alike, each adding their own spark to Metro’s cinematic beats.
This project feels like a throwback in the best way—fun, loud, and lighthearted—without taking itself too seriously. Its nostalgic energy makes it a standout entrance into summer playlists and late-night sessions. This is Metro using his own beatmaking legacy as a launchpad — honoring ATL’s mixtape era with modern polish, and intelligently layering in fresh names. If you're into trap but craving a blast-from-the-past energy with today’s top talent, this is one to press play on.
