After signing with Imperial Records, Sean Jacobs steps fully into his new identity—leaving behind his old moniker CVBZ—and leans into a more personal, grounded sound. I always loved his features on electronic tracks, but his folk/electronic album, “Coeur d’Alene”, impressed me so much, I’m super excited to see him leaning into this sound. His debut track, “Roots”, combines folk textures and organic instruments, giving it an earthy, intimate vibe. His vocals feel earnest and direct, carrying a sense of starting fresh and embracing vulnerability. It’s a strong start to his reinvention.
